Anytime a sweet moment occurs in my home I almost always snap a few photos or make Ralph do it! I can't resist the urge. And that's because moments like these I don't want to ever forget. These photos are not only for me, but for my children. To see pure joy in my sons face, his arms wrapped around his daddy's leg; they help me to remember them better than if I never took them at all.
I am reminded constantly when I look back on them about how fast the time really does go by (when I look back on this post years from now I'll probably tear up just reading it!) and to remember to savor each moment; Even the hard ones because from what I hear it gets even more challenging! These moments that may only last 20 minutes might not seem big to us (or they may feel like an eternity when you know you could be doing other things), but they light up our childrens world.
I am grateful to be married to a man who feels the same way. Who is intentional about the amount of hours that he works and doesn't work, who spends individual time with his wife and boys and who recognizes the importance of his constant presence in our home. It's the little things like in these photos that make me fall deeper in love with him.
