“I don’t belong here.” That’s what I told Ralph today and it’s not the first time I have said it. It’s extremely challenging for a deep thinking person like myself to function in this society. It’s a legit battle for me that can put me in a funk.
But I am not alone. My buddy, Elijah in 1 Kings 19 reminds me that I am not the only person who has been “very zealous for the Lord” and has uttered the words, “I have had enough, Lord.” What God does for him in the moments after Elijah says that, is of great encouragement to me. He doesn’t take Elijah (yet), but He equips him for what he needs to complete the job God had called him to do.
That’s all I need to know to shift my mindset. God sees. He knows. He hears my groans. He understands. He equips.
