I admit, I am being a tad biased when I called this family "adorable." After all, it is my big brother, Tim's family. ;) Still, taking their photos is so fun for me!
Their family dynamic is hilarious. Back in the day when I was doing a bunch of weddings, Tim was my right hand man so he knows a thing or two about how to take nice photos. Pair him with his gorgeous wife, Katie, who like most people, finds getting her photo taken awkward, AND a daughter, who has crazy energy like her auntie, and you have an entertaining portrait session.
I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing Tim and Katie since I took their engagement photos in 2012 at the same place we did their family (see below). When going through those old photos, I saw the giant poison ivy vine on the red door that I am REALLY glad none of us touched 13 years ago. 🫣 It made for cool photos though! 📸
Since then I have had my camera beside me through many of Tim and Katie's momentous occasions; showers, their wedding, the birth of their sweet Chloe, her baby dedication, birthday parties, and family photos. It is truly my humble pleasure to be given that privilege (a few links at end).
This past Fall, I was hired to do some corporate jobs in the western New York area, where I spent the first 35 years of life. Tim and Katie share the same tradition that our family used to have when we lived there, which was going to Letchworth State Park every Fall, so our families decided to go together, with our sweet mama and hike after their portrait session.
It was a wonderful time together. Ralph's back was in really bad shape and he was coming down with the flu (which he didn't know yet), but he was a trooper!! It's just breathtaking that time of year with the leaves changing.Â

OK, OK I will stop talking and share the delightful, silly, and endearing photos of my favorite big brother and sister-in-law. :)
Fun note, like many of my sessions with kids, I handed my camera over to Chloe and let her take a few photos of me. Here's what she caught! I matched her silliness. :)
