Engineer Lexie

Whoa! I was so delightfully impressed the day Lexie reached out to me saying that she had recently been promoted and her boss was requesting a photo to accompany her announcement. I congratulated her and asked what she did.

"I am an engineer," she said humbly. Oh is that all? Ha!

But, like many local Orlando residents, she had spent some time working at Disney, more specifically in the character department. You know, just the adorable female characters like Wendy, Tinker Bell and Alice in Wonderland. She even showed me photos and she looked just like them!!

We had fun getting to know each other in between setting up and posing for her photos. We had never met before I had stepped foot in her beautiful home with all of my camera equipment that day! I LOVE meeting new people!

One of the biggest obstacles a photographer has when taking someone's portrait is establishing a level of comfort that can be seen in the photos. This makes all the difference! I genuinely care for people and they sense it. Guards drop and beautiful photos emerge as I also pay close attention to lighting, posing, and environment. :)
