This job came to me as a total surprise. While I was walking out of church, Carine, the wonderful woman that runs the women's ministry at our campus (Alafaya) asked me if I could photograph a Christmas party for the company that her husband, JJ works for at the beautiful, Celebration Gardens. She had only seen the photos that I posted on www.simplycampbell.com and had no idea I even had this website or had my photography business for seventeen years.

Skanska is a commercial construction and development company and also one of the largest in the world. They are responsible for some of the new highways in Orlando and much more, as I was made aware by one of their employees from Jamaica (he is pictured in the telephone booth with his adorable wife on the cover of this blog post). I loved seeing Carine's husband, JJ in his position of leadership at this company. I was so used to seeing Carine communicating at church. I loved seeing him speak just as confidently and genuinely to his team.

This job was an unexpected financial blessing for our family at a time where we weren't sure where the next dollar was supposed to be coming from. God used this to help kick start my photography journey in Orlando, Florida. I am so grateful to Carine for listening to the Holy Spirit when He placed me on her mind to reach out to. On top of it, I have such gratitude for JJ for feeling led to bless me beyond what we even agreed upon to show me that this was exactly what I was still supposed to be doing. That I was to not just use this gift in Western New York, where I was known, but that it was time to introduce myself to the people of Orlando, Florida.

May God get all of the glory both now and forevermore through this. :)
